Our Beloved Sponsors

We’re incredibly thankful to have the support of our sponsors. Simply put, without them, we wouldn’t exist. So, twice a month, we like to give them a special shoutout. It allows us to show our appreciation, as well as update readers on our sponsor’s happenings.

If you didn’t know, The Hanger Project has been busy developing content for their YouTube channel. This week, Kirby shows his viewers how to execute a Berluti knot — Berluti being the famous Parisian company mostly known for their high-end footwear. The Berluti knot is tough to tie, but if you can do it, you get a more secure knot that sits flat against your shoe’s facings (unlike other knots, which often twist and turn). You can watch the video here.

For people who travel often — or are just plain lazy, like me — Proper Cloth has some new Thomas Mason non-iron fabrics. Woven from premium American Supima and Egyptian Giza cottons, and finished in Thomas Mason’s facilities, these are Thomas Mason’s first ever non-iron offerings. Their wrinkle free property allows you to get a top-end shirt in a custom fit, but with a bit of a smoother, sharper appearance throughout the day. The fabrics currently come in solid white and light blue.

Next, Chipp Neckwear is an old Ivy Style operation connected to New York’s Winston Tailors (a custom tailoring shop that has dressed everyone from President JFK to Andy Warhol). Online, Chipp sells some of the most affordable grenadine, ancient madder, and raw silk neckties around. All of their neckwear is made in NYC from the same English and Italian fabrics everyone else uses, but they’re sold at about 1/3rd of the price. If you’re looking to get your first grenadine, start with navy — it can be worn with almost suit or sport coat.

Looking for a deal? Dapper Classics’ “New Sock of the Month” promotion starts tomorrow, where you can get a pair of their February Sock of the Month for free if you purchase three pairs of regularly priced socks. On Friday, they’re also rolling out their Groundhog Day sale. Depending on which way the groundhog looks, they’ll either knock 20% off the price of their cotton socks (for a sooner spring) or 20% off their wool socks (for the longer winter). And finally, next week, they’ll be discounting their leather satchels by 30%.

New inventory comes fast at Huckberry. This week, they have new shoes from Oak Street Bootmakers and Sabah — the first being famous for their military-style trench boots, the second known for their Turkish-inspired slip-ons. The two pictured above come in natural colored, full-grain leathers, which are designed to quickly take on a patina. Huckberry also has a gift guide for those looking to get that special someone a Valentine’s Day gift.

Lastly, Twillory specializes in dress shirts. Their new, conservatively designed plaids can be worn on their own, or be used to dressed down sport coats. These normally sell for $99 per shirt, but depending on how many you buy, you can knock that price down to $54 a piece. Twillory also offers first time buyers a “but one, get one free” promotion.
