I really like chunky shawl collar cardigans in the fall, such as the one you see above. That one was sold through FR Tripler – a storied clothier in the US during the 19th and 20th centuries. Unfortunately, the seller says it has a slightly musty odor. You could try getting rid of it using some of the solutions people have posted around the web (I’ve read once that spraying down a garment with some diluted vodka works). If you’re successful, you’ll have a vintage cardigan with much cooler provenance than what you’ll be able to get new.
