Yes, Put This On is a blog about “dressing like a grown-up” and we firmly stand by our thesis. But have you tried being a grown-up lately? It’s exhausting. Which is why we heartily endorse a little bit of childhood’s wonder where possible and we have some great examples in the shop.
This isn’t to say you should fall into nostalgia traps. The amount of novelty graphic tees, hats, and just about anything else you can think of that pay tribute to some- if we’re being honest- not that great TV show or movie from the 70s or 80s is staggering. Rather, opt for some stuff that brings back memories in much less gaudy ways. If you were a scout we have a couple mementos to those good deed filled days. Have a little goofy fun with this big ole slide whistle or this unique baseball card game. And if you’re brown bagging it we’ve got this classic Peanuts lunch box. So have a little childish fun sometime. Tag- you’re it.
