Rob, who’s appeared a few times (to much lady-acclaim, I should add) in our “real people” series, writes about how and why he buys bespoke clothing on his high school teacher’s salary.
“I couldn’t help but nod in agreement with everything the director said. As a teacher, he shares the same exact reasons for dressing well with me. Except instead of being in charge of 20-30 million dollars worth of investments, I have 20-30 (well, closer to 40 these days) kids I need to help grow. The teaching profession seems to have gone down in terms of how we present ourselves and any good teacher should see this, hear what’s being said, and dress accordingly!”— Rob from Brooklyn
It’s been 90+ degrees here in Los Angeles, and I’ve been hiding under a table in my non-air-conditioned apartment, wearing nothing but a cold washcloth. Our friend Wale, though, is out in Philadelphia, looking like a million bucks. And guess what? He just finished taking the bar. Congrats, Wale!
Besides that, both Wale and another regular on the blog, Rob from Brooklyn, are finalists for Esquire’s Best Dressed Real Man award. Congrats to both - check them out at Esquire’s site.
