Our friend Ville over at Keikari emailed me last night to tell me that Sanders also makes vegan shoes. A quick Google search reveals that they’re only available through special orders placed by stores (their regular line, which is what you’d find almost everywhere, is made from real leather). However, this Finnish store seems to carry a vegan model, and it’s probably the best looking, most affordable option I’ve seen.
The sole is supposedly Goodyear welted, though I’m not sure what value that provides if the uppers will look bad in a few years. Fake leather unfortunately doesn’t age well.
Still, great to see a good, affordable option for our vegan friends.
