Berg and Berg Summer Sale

Berg and Berg is having their end-of-the-season sale. 40% off ties, scarves, pocket squares, and socks. I’m probably most excited about the socks. They’re over-the-calf Brescianis, which usually cost something around $25 a pair. Right now Berg and Berg is selling them for about $13 and I highly recommend them. I felt a bit crushed when I saw these airforce blue ones were all sold out.

Leffot Summer Sale

Leffot’s summer sale is in its final stretch, and there are a number of items by Alden, Alfred Sargent, Borsalino, Edward Green, Quoddy, and Rider Boot Co. These house label cola suede chukkas, for example, are $290, and their milkshake suede derbys are $275. I would reserve both for summer, which is almost over, but you know - it’ll come again.

Ben Silver Warehouse Sale

Ben Silver just put their warehouse sale online. Ties are available for $67.50, pocket squares for $21.25, and shetland sweaters for $95. Plus a lot more; just take a look

Note, many of the neckties and pocket squares are manufactured by Drake’s, and will say so in the product description if they are.

Barney’s Warehouse Sale Online
For the first time this year, Barney’s is offering its famous (perhaps too famous) Warehouse Sale online. There’s a ton of stuff for slightly-more-than-seasonal discounts in the range of 50-60%. Perhaps most notable are a surprising array of Crockett & Jones shoes for half price, which makes them less than $300, an exceptional deal.
We’ve taken the liberty of culling the herd a little bit for you with this link, which picks out a few of our favorite brands and gets you past the email collector at the front door of the website.

Not to turn this site into just about sales, but this J Crew sale is certainly worth mentioning. An additional 40% off sale items with the code OURTREAT puts things such as madras shirts at $30, Billy Reid sneakers at $48, and summer OCBDs for $32. You can browse their sale section for other deals.

Fourth of July Sales Events

A bunch of retailers are running Fourth of July sales. Note that even if you don’t care for the items I’ve highlighted below, you may want to browse each store’s selections, as many of them have discounts on a wide variety of items.

  • Brooks Brothers: Brooks’ summer clearance event has begun. Up to 50% off select items. I’m particularly a fan of this sand colored jacket as a spring/ summer outerwear piece.
  • Gap: Although I’m generally not that crazy about The Gap, I think their undershirts offer a good value. They’re priced at $15 for two, and you can take an additional 10% off with the code GAP4TH at checkout.
  • Gant: Up to 50% off select items. There are some madras shirts in there you can check out.
  • Jack Threads: Bass bucks and Supergas for about $50 each.
  • Lands End Canvas: A ton of shirts on sale for pretty cheap. Their construction isn’t the most well done, and the cuts are sometimes all over the place, but they remain a good option for people on a tight budget.
  • Levis: Take 20% off orders over $100 and 30% off orders over $150. Use the code SUMMER at checkout
  • Allen Edmonds: Clearance sale on select summer items. These chocolate brown unlined suede chukkas seem like a good deal at $125.
  • Ovadia and Sons: Significant discounts on outerwear.
  • Far Fetch: A ton of sales going on right now. Just select an item category and mark the brands you’re interested in.

It’s On Sale: TM Lewin Shirts

TM Lewin is having a storewide sale and dress shirts can be had for as little as $30. I recommend their slim fit. It’s neither skinny nor full, and it’s built decently well. This is a good option for folks on a tight budget, but need to get a work-appropriate wardrobe that will make them look both stylish and professional.

It’s On Sale: RL Long-Sleeve Polos
Ralph Lauren is selling their long-sleeve “Custom Fit” polos for just $22.46 with the code RLEXTRA25. Custom Fit is the slimmer of RL’s styles, though it isn’t fashion-slim. Shipping is a flat $5. It’s part of a much larger sale.

It’s On Sale: Uniqlo Pants, Shirts, and Polos

Uniqlo has a decent sale going on right now, including some discounts on summer attire:
As we’ve mentioned before, Uniqlo’s US stores are only in New York, but you can order through Suddenlee and get the sale price by manually entering it in. Suddenlee will ship nationwide and internationally (just not next day delivery if you’re outside the Northeast region of the US). If you have any questions about their proxy shopping service, read this

A Few Notable Sales: MyHabit, Brooks Brothers, and Mr. Porter

There are a few notable sales going on today. First, Attolini, De Corato, and Finamore shirts are on sale at MyHabit for one day only. At $149 and up, they’re pretty expensive, At that price, I think you’re better off getting something custom made from a high-end, reputable maker such as Ascot Chang. However, if you have the money and like the fit, this is a good opportunity to get staple shirts such as solid whites and light blues.

Brooks Brothers also started their semi-annual sale today. Items across the board have been discounted up to 40%. I especially like this driving jacket in sand for $179.

Finally, there’s the Mr. Porter sale, which I wrote about here. Select items have been discounted up to 70%, and they include great deals from brands such as Drake’s, John Smedley, and Ralph Lauren.

For more sales announcements, sign up for our Inside Track. We publish an edition every week on Monday, and they include an eBay roundup, just like the ones we write every Tuesday and Friday, as well as a review of that week’s sales. I think there were twelve announced in today’s edition.

(Thanks to Cooper for tipping me to the MyHabit sale)
