Excuse Me… We Dropped Our Scarves…

December 21, 2023

We have an old friend who scours the attics of the midwest for textiles. Once a year or so, she drives a big van from town to town, raiding sewing boxes and fabric stashes. She brings home yard goods and table linens and everything in between.

Luckily for us (and you) she also brings home scarves.

We’ve just dropped a monumental haul of vintage neckwear. There’s wool and silk, classics both, but of particular interest are the rayon numbers, from the mid-20th century.

Rayon is a man-made natural textile – it’s made from processed plant material. The finer form of the fabric – what vintage enthusiasts call “cold rayon” – was most popular in the 1940s and 50s. It drapes beautifully and is soft to the touch and can accommodate some truly incredible prints. We use vintage rayons for many of our pocket squares, and many of our scarves feature this same fabric.

We’re only charging $45 for these treasures, so go grab yourself something you can wear into the spring.
