I didn’t see this conversation between a FOX Sports reporter and San Diego Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers, but I imagine it went something like this:
Reporter: “Is that real? Or is it some kind of crazy meta joke? Please say it’s real. Please say you’re sincere. Dear God that thing is enormous. Is this like when Brooklyn girls started wearing Long Island grandma glasses for a while? Oh man, Philip, I want this to be real so, so bad. Please don’t be a joke. Please tell me this is real.”
Rivers: “We’re just out there every Sunday, giving it 110%, trying to make plays. This week we came out on top, and we’re looking forward to heading to Denver.”
