I was surprised and delighted to see Derek’s post about dressing for TED within a couple of hours of seeing my friend Roman Mars’ post about getting Alden Indy boots shined at the airport on his way to the conference. Roman hosts the wonderful podcast 99% Invisible, about design and architecture, and he’s headed to Vancouver to talk about the design of flags. I imagine he’ll dress as he always does: like a former hardcore kid turned philosophy graduate student.
