We’re in to the rainy season where I am now. The third “atmospheric river” in two weeks has just drenched us again. I find myself intrigued by the thorny problem of dressing for rain in menswear. While the easiest (and often most affordable) solution is a simple umbrella, it often fails in windy conditions or in certain environments. While one could certainly cocoon themselves in waterproof-breathable membranes, we don’t all want to look as though we’re casually about to summit K2 after work. Fortunately, our readers have found some stylish solutions this week.
Sam (@samtalksstyle) is looking comfy in a waxed jacket, brown sport coat, black turtleneck, ecru pants, and boots. Charles (@un_homme_neuf) is enjoying his tea under an umbrella, with a casual jacket, plaid shirt, denim, and work boots. @oxfordclothbuttondown is looking very trad in a waxed jacket, navy blazer, blue OCBD (of course), red tie, tan chinos, and loafers. Finally, Ben (@vintmen) is keeping dry in the city with a beret, casual jacket, scarf, denim, and suede loafers.
