The difference between those who truly dress well, and those who don’t, in my opinion, is whether they take joy in the act of dressing. It’s a humdrum, everyday activity that few put much thought into. But like so many other things in our lives, when we put our own value and passion in to it, we reap the rewards of quiet pleasure throughout the day. Whether it’s exploring the boundaries of silhouette and effect, taking a deep interest in material and construction, or just hewing to a traditional way of dress, feeling love for that simple daily act can separate you from the mundane.
