Sad to hear Bobby Garnett recently passed away. He was the owner and founder of Bobby from Boston, a legendary menswear store that supplied vintage clothes and accessories to style enthusiasts, fashion designers, and film makers. Some of his finds have made their way to the archives of J. Crew, Tom Ford, and Ralph Lauren, as well as the film sets of A Bronx Tale and A Beautiful Mind.
Worth watching: the documentary on Bobby by Lea Winkler shown above, as well as this feature at WGBH News (which gives a rare glimpse into the store’s warehouse). Skip Brooks also has some amazing photos of the shop.
