Style And Fashion Drawings: Bright Shirts

It’s easy to wear bold colors in the summertime; harder when it’s fall. I recently spotted this man, however, wearing a beige-and-red shirt with a wool sport coat and some corduroys. The outfit was colorful and full of personality, but still had that toned-down, somber look that draws many of us to fall clothing.

It doesn’t always work, but sometimes when you’re wearing a loud item, it helps to keep everything else muted and conservative. Here, the man’s sport coat had reddish undertones that complemented his shirt, while his tan cords had yellow roots to bring out the shirt’s beige. Add to this a string of brown accessories – his shoes, hat, and briefcase – and you have a nice, fall ensemble with something more interesting than your usual, light blue button-downs.
