If you don’t know, Willis & Geiger were the other great American expeditionary clothing company – after Abercrombie & Fitch. Burt Avedon, interviewed in the piece, led the company through a troubled time, having bought it out of bankruptcy in the late 70s, and brought it through liquidation by Lands’ End in the early 2000s.
