Wikipedia: Handkerchief Code (possibly NSFW)
Perhaps it’s because I grew up in San Francisco in the 1980s, but this is all I can think about every time I see a blog post about back pocket hankerchiefs.
Since carrying a handkerchief is pretty popular right now (and should always be for function’s sake alone) I thought I should share this with my fellow straight, style-minded brothers.
Until yesterday, I had no idea that in certain circles in the gay community, the color and pocket placement of your hanky can mean different things. Thanks to Bainster for bringing this to my attention.
