As J. Press phases out their youth-oriented, Ovadia-designed York Street collection to be replace by their youth-oriented Blue collection, they’ve added a number of things to their sale including deep markdowns on the remaining York Street stuff. I particularly like this waffle-y blouson jacket (also in gray), which has a cool texture more visible in this WAYWT photo on Styleforum. It reminds me of a Valstarino jacket and seems like a deal at $130 if you’re looking for a less wintry wool jacket. Also available are some nice tailored jackets and flannels, a couple of Shaggy Dogs, including York Street’s slimmer Dog, and some Viyella shirts. In my experience the quality of the York Street clothing varied, but it was mostly pretty good–at least a step above J. Crew. The tailoring has some trad styling details, like hooked vents, you don’t see everywhere.
