Allen Edmonds rolled out a nice promotion yesterday that allows grooms to say “I do” in a pair of well-made shoes. If you’re getting married soon, you and your groomsmen, father, and father-in-law are eligible for a $350 bundled package that includes shoes, a matching belt, and some cedar shoe trees.
The promotion applies to the company’s most popular models – the Park Avenues (a failsafe with any suit), Fifth Avenue (good for formal daytime events), and Strands (nice if you want something more casual).
At full retail, you’re looking at a $150 savings, but the bundled package is pretty good even if you’re a sales hound. Their factory-second Park Avenues, for example, sell for $300. Sometimes they’re discounted as low as $200, but you may not be able to count on that if time is short.
