Vente-Privee, the flash sale site operated by American Express, is shutting its doors “by the end of this year.”
If you have store credit, spend it now, as all credits will expire November 26th. I noticed really deep discounts on the recent Luciano Barbera sale – 90%ish – and it may be that discounts in the last eight weeks or so will be especially aggressive. (Edit: today Facconable sale features suits for less than $150, so it appears this is true.) While delivery is slow relative to competitors like MyHabit and Gilt, since items go from manufacturer to VP to you after the sale, I’ve found the customer service and selection to be superb.
