Help Someone by Buying Something

There are a few menswear charity auctions at the end of every year that go towards supporting worthy causes. One is organized by StyleForum – the biggest online forum for clothing enthusiasts. They take donations from their affiliate vendors every holiday season, auction them off, and donate 100% of the money to Ronald McDonald House Charities – an organization that helps support families with sick children.

This year, StyleForum is auctioning off a bunch of really amazing things, including a pair of custom Edward Green shoes, which have been generously donated by Skoaktiebolaget. There’s a new auction going on every day, and you can find the list of items here. You can also place a bid in that thread.

The eBay consignment shop LuxeSwap is also donating 10% of their revenues this week to the Ronald McDonald House. They have a ton of great stuff, such as this tan corduroy sport coat from Brooks Brothers

Lastly, StyleForum member Brianpore is running a charity auction through eBay’s GivingWorks. 100% of the money will go to Career Gear – an organization that helps give mentorship and professional clothes to men working to get out of poverty. They have a bunch of really nice suits, shirts, and neckwear, including this striped navy grenadine from Exquisite Trimmings.

All these items – the Edward Green shoes, Brooks Brothers sport coat, and Exquisite Trimmings necktie – would make for a pretty great outfit. Plus, your winning them would help someone in need in this holiday season, which makes wearing nice clothes feel even better. Check out the auctions when you get a chance.
