Speaking of J. Press’ sample sale, the company is having a 25% off promotion on select items at their site. Included are their famous brushed Shetland sweaters (also known as Shaggy Dogs). Mine have been sitting dormant for a while, but I just broke one out yesterday and was reminded of how great these look with corduroys or jeans.
Unfortunately, even with the discount, the prices are painfully expensive. They’re $230 at full retail and $172.50 with the discount. That puts them at a few dollars more than what they retailed for just four years ago (back when I still thought they were painfully priced), but as Pete said, expensive things are not getting any cheaper.
