Our Beloved Sponsors

Put This On is made possible because of our sponsors, so twice a month, we like to thank them for their support and mention what’s going on with them.

We’ve been updating readers for years now on Ledbury’s developments – their growth from being a men’s shirtmaker to a full menswear line. Ledbury now wants to hear from you! Beyond just product and sales news, what kind of information would you like to get from Ledbury in these bi-weekly updates? Style suggestions, behind-the-scene stories, early access to new products? Email your thoughts to their shirt stylist Alex at shirtstylists@ledbury.com. They’ll start their new messages mid-February.

Our next sponsor The Hanger Project is in the last week of their winter sale. Most of the discount stock is from A Suitable Wardrobe (a famous webshop they recently acquired). ASW rarely held sales, but now some of their stuff is on clearance at discounts of up to 50%. You can visit their sale section to find Drake’s ties, Inis Meain knitwear, and Merola gloves, among many other things.

Meanwhile, Chipp Neckwear regrets to report they have to raise the prices of their ancient madder neckties soon. The cost of their madder silks have risen 27%, which means when they restock in the next week or two, they’ll have to raise prices by ~$12.50 per tie. They’ll still cost a fraction of what other makers charge, but if you want to take advantage of the current $55 price, you’ll have to buy before their restock.

Gustin just got into a new product category last week: underwear. Made from a breathable modal jersey, these will stay more comfortable throughout the day than most cottons. Like with their raw, selvedge jeans (for which they’re most known), these are also made in the USA. Just don’t go six months without washing or post photos of your sick fades.

Finally, our thanks to Proper Cloth & Private White VC for their support. Proper Cloth just launched some new custom-developed fabrics for shirts starting at $95, as well as an updated style guide. Additionally, they’ve added a new Australian mother-of-pearl button option for all their custom shirts. Private White VC, meanwhile, just released their new spring/ summer collection. It includes reinvented classics, such as a linen pea coat, as well as some things made from ECOSEAM, an environmentally friendly fabric with a durable water and stain resistant finish.
