Our Beloved Sponsors

We couldn’t do Put This On without the support of our sponsors, so we like to give them a special thank-you shoutout twice a month. Huckberry is joining us this month as our newest sponsor, but first, a little about what’s going on with our other supporters.

The Hanger Project makes specialty hangers for people who want to preserve the shape and quality of their garments. On a high-quality tailored jacket, the shape of the sleeves, shoulders, and chest is set by careful hand ironing, which requires care to preserve. Think of it like hair, where careful heat and curling can set in shape, but that shaping can be lost without proper maintenance. The Hanger Project’s hangers are made with curved, wide shoulders that imitate a person’s natural form, helping to preserve the shape of your tailored jackets from the shoulders down. You can see a video about it on YouTube.

Our friends at Proper Cloth are getting a jump on fall this week with their release of Italian-made quilted vests. These are designed to work with everything from smart flannel trousers to jeans. The pure wool and wool-cashmere blend fabrics given them a soft, insulating feel, while the welted chest pocket and trim fit makes these look a bit more tailored. Proper Cloth has them in a wide range of colors and fabrics, as well as either traditional horn buttons or sportier nickel snaps.

Next, Chipp Neckwear is an old Ivy Style operation connected to New York’s Winston Tailors (a custom tailoring shop that has dressed everyone from JFK to Andy Warhol). Online, Chipp sells some of the most affordable grenadine, ancient madder, and raw silk neckties around. All of their neckwear is made in NYC from the same English and Italian fabrics everyone else uses, but they’re sold at about 1/3rd of the price.

Dapper Classics’ trousers are proving to be some of their customers’ favorite items. This week, they’re releasing their models in new collection of fall and winter fabrics, including cashmere, lambswool, and luxurious Super 120s wools. Their trousers are made in New York City by one of the world’s best trouser factories, and come in both slim and classic fits.

Many thanks to Huckberry for joining us this month as our newest sponsor. They’re kindly offering our readers a 15% discount on all their Flint and Tinder products through the end of the month (just use the code PUTTHISON). You can also sign up for a free membership (it takes seconds) to get the best prices on their products and inspirational stories delivered to your inbox every week.

Finally, our thanks to Twillory. They’re releasing some new, fun prints this week in whimsical patterns such as blue penguins and dropping parachutes. These are made out of 100% Egyptian cotton and come with Twillory’s button-down collar design and a slightly shorter length, so you can wear them untucked over chinos or jeans.
