It’s harder and harder to find good deals nowadays. Much of the menswear market is bifurcating towards the extremes — with uber-expensive luxury labels on one end, and disposable fast fashion on the other. Berg & Berg, a boutique classic menswear brand located in Sweden, is one of the few exceptions. They’re not inexpensive, but they offer solid value on things such as tastefully designed ties and slightly more refined takes on casualwear.

But check out these deals. There are rep striped and silk grenadine ties made with handrolled edges for just $84. The silk-wool-cashmere blend scarves are generously sized at 71″ x 21″, and they’re available for $166. Slim-tapered flannel trousers are just north of $200; chunky collar turtlenecks and finely knitted, one-piece collar polos just above $150; and handsewn gloves starting at $100.
If you’re up for a splurge, Valstar’s sueded Western-shouldered jacket is just under $1,000, although I’d hesitate to recommend buying something so expensive from an overseas shop. Berg & Berg takes returns, but international shipping can be a bit of a hassle, especially on heavier items.
