Outdoorsy flash sale site the Clymb has a mountain of Kletterwerks bags on sale. Kletterwerks is a revived brand of bags rooted in the work of Dana Gleason, a pioneer of pack design in the 1970s mountaineering scene and the cult 90s bag brand Dana Design, as well as Mystery Ranch, one of the most sought after technical bag brands today. The Kletterwerks packs are retro in vibe and fabrics (Cordura nylon with leather trim) but more practical than straight reproductions of old bags, with updated padded straps and laptop sleeves. They’re all US-made. I personally like the flip pack and hip pack, which can also be worn slung over your shoulder.
For at least a few more hours, you can use the code PCTGEAR for an additional 20 percent off orders of $75 or more. Note that the Clymb expects Kletterwerks orders will ship in February; don’t order for a trip to Montana this month.
